Yes, of course. Who wouldn't? In the very beginning it can be a problem. Women feel very lonely and even cry sometimes. The lady doesn't know the country, culture and people, and experiences difficulties with even the simplest things like shopping in supermarkets - She simply cannot communicate easily, even if her English is pretty good. But, equally, the ladies don't want to go back to Ukraine or Russia. They miss their friends and family but not the country itself. Women don't realize how big the difference is between their home countries and Western countries. When they have lived in your country for a while they quickly get used to it and think about returning to their home country with some trepidation. Of course, if you have both chosen well, and for the right reasons, you can be a pillar of strength to your lady when she's feeling homesick. Modern technology also helps - Using the internet to make cheap phone calls (we have a section on our website about this) means that a regular Sunday afternoon phone-call to parents or friends back in Ukraine or Russia is as easy (and inexpensive) as calling friends locally. If you have brought your bride to your home in the UK or Europe, a holiday back to her home town can cost the same as a holiday to Spain or Greece. We all feel homesick at one time or another - even if we're only on a 2-week holiday abroad.
